Light Up Your Life With The All-New Opel Grandland: Intellilux Lighting Now As Standard


The Aviva stadium, the home of Opel car partner the Ireland Rugby team, saw the launch of the highly anticipated Opel Grandland. Elegantly sporty and proudly displaying the new signature Opel Vizor brand face,the Opel Grandland is host to a stunning new Pure Panel cockpit and class-leading technology and comfort features. With safety a clear priority, the new Opel SUV flagship boasts adaptive IntelliLux LED® Pixel Lights as standard across the three-trim range. Designed and produced in Germany, and available in petrol and diesel from launch, the plug-in electric hybrid arrives in early summer.

A segment first in Ireland, Opel’s state-of-the-art adaptive IntelliLux LED® Pixel Lighting system combined with high beam assist is standard across range. Featuring 168 LED elements, 84 in each ultra-slim headlamp, that brilliantly light up the road ahead, the main beam automatically adjusts seamlessly in milliseconds to cut out glare for oncoming road users, whilst the peripheral lighting remains intact, for optimal safety. 


Powered by efficient petrol and diesel engines from launch in Ireland, customers have a choice between a 1.2 130hp 6-speed manual petrol (139g CO2), a 1.2 130hp 8-speed automatic petrol (145g CO2) and a 1.5 130hp 8-speed automatic diesel (135g CO2). The new Grandland plug-in electric hybrid 225hp 2WD version will arrive in early summer (31g CO2 combined), with the 300hp AWD to follow later in 2022.



Available in three trims, the Grandland SC trim retails from €35,495 plus delivery and standard equipment includes LED Pixel Lighting, active emergency braking, cruise control with speed limiter, active lane keep assist, side blind spot alert, enhanced traffic sign recognition, driver attention alert, hill start assist with electronic parking brake, electronically controlled dual zone air conditioning, DAB radio, Apple Car Play and Android Auto, 7” touchscreen, Bluetooth audio streaming, front console USB, 230V plug in 2nd row, 17” alloy wheels, auto headlamps, front fogs, rain sensitive windscreen, front and rear parking sensors and rear view camera.


The sporty SRI trim retails form €37,495 plus delivery and boasts as standard over and above the SC trim AGR driver’s seat, electrically adjustable driver’s seat lumbar adjustment, adjustable driver seat cushion extension, half leather-effect seat trim, alloy sporty pedals (auto versions), 10” touchscreen with satellite navigation, 12” multi-colour driver information cluster, USB connection in 2nd row, wireless charger, Black Pack (high gloss Opel logo and badging), two tone black roof and black mirror caps, high gloss black roof rails, 18” alloy wheels and privacy tinted windows. 


The luxurious top-of-the-range Elite trim retails from €39,495 and comes as standard with keyless entry and start, heated front seats, heated rear seats, heated steering wheel, electrically adjustable front seats, leather upholstery, 19” alloy wheels and handsfree electric tailgate.
